About ApexSplit

Hi, my name is Nicolas, and ApexSplit is my passion project. As a motorcycle enthusiast myself, I kept trying to find lap times other riders had set, but couldn't find a site where I could easily do that. That's probably why you're here too.

So I built it. For motorcycles first, but I didn't want the car community to be left out, which is exactly why this site exists.

You don't need any fancy timing gear — the site is built around the GPS lap-timer apps people already use (see Supported apps below), which export a session file you can import here. From that imported data, it builds a map of the circuit showing everything relevant those apps recorded.

Submit a lap with your track, car, and time — sector splits, session notes, and any photos or data files from a lap timer or GPS app are all optional extras. Everything you attach shows up on the track's page.

Supported apps

Driving with RaceChrono or LapTrophy? Import your .rcz or .csv session file straight into the log form and skip typing anything in — track, lap time, sector splits, and your full GPS trace fill themselves in automatically. The lap's detail page then draws your actual line over the track's real layout, colored by braking and acceleration, with speed and lateral G available on hover. More lap timer and GPS app formats are on the way.

Found something that didn't work?

This is a one-person project, so things slip through. If something looks broken or doesn't work the way it should, please tell me — click right here, or use the same button at the bottom of every page. Either one works — a couple sentences on what happened is plenty.

Support ApexSplit

I don't like asking for support, and I'm not asking you to donate any money, BUT if you really want to support the project, you can. There's a Buy me a coffee you can use to support the project. The project is self-funded, and anything helps. Don't worry tho, the website will stay up no matter what.
